It's rough in China. People work 9 to 6 (2 hour lunch+nap break) but it's extremely common for workers especially in the tech industry to work "996" which stands for 9am to 9pm, 6 days per week.

I've even seen people going home at 11pm, midnight or later. Sometimes my wife gets home at 1am or so. All extra hours unpaid.
