Stage One: Submarining

In the beginning, an injury might not even be noticeable. There is no pain, nor a loss of range of motion — there may be tissue damage, but it’s so minimal that it’s imperceptible. Most people are in varying degrees of this stage; anyone who has ever trained hard has been here. The trainee blissfully goes on with training, unaware of the coming storm.
